Seasons end for Windsor softball, baseball

Windsor High School’s varsity softball and baseball teams had made their presence known at the district level and opened their respective regional runs with first-round victories, but both saw their seasons come to an end in the Region 2A quarterfinals.
SOFTBALL
The No. 5 Lady Dukes traveled to play No. 4 Arcadia High School in the quarterfinals on May 25 and ultimately fell 4-0.
Despite the loss, Windsor finished the season with an outstanding overall record of 18-5, winning the Tri-Rivers District regular season and tournament championships.
BASEBALL
Also on May 25, the No. 7 Dukes hit the road to play No. 2 King William High School and sustained a 4-0 defeat.
Despite a season with notable ups and downs, Windsor finished the year with a winning record of 12-11-1.
