A two-vehicle crash involving a car and motorcycle that took place March 24 in Walters has resulted in the death of the motorcycle driver.
A Virginia State Police news release indicated that the crash occurred at 6:15 p.m. on Walters Highway (U.S. Route 258) at the intersection of Joyners Bridge Road.
A 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by 24-year-old Justice Alan Gibson, was traveling north on U.S. 258 when a 2018 Nissan Altima, driven by 64-year-old Kenneth Bulls, allegedly pulled into the motorcycle’s path from Joyners Bridge Road, police said.
The release stated that the motorcycle struck the sedan’s driver-side door, ejecting the driver.
Gibson was transported with life-threatening injuries and succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, April 4, police said.
The release concluded by noting that Bulls was charged with failure to yield.
