Dukes, Lady Dukes combine for 7-0 start

Windsor High School’s varsity girls and boys basketball teams have made the beginning to the 2022-23 season a successful one for Dukes hoops.
On Wednesday, Dec. 7, the Lady Dukes defeated host Southampton High School 36-25, improving to 4-0 overall on the season, including a 2-0 mark in the Tri-Rivers District.
Leading Windsor in scoring was freshman Mariah Stephenson with 15 points. Junior Shamyah Stephenson added 11 points.
On the same night, the Windsor boys routed visiting Southampton 62-29. This took the Dukes’ overall record to 3-0 and improved them to 2-0 in the district.
On Monday, Dec. 5, the Lady Dukes blew out visiting Sussex Central High School 56-18.
Mariah Stephenson again led the way on offense, this time pouring in a game-high 27 points.
The Lady Dukes held visiting Thomas Jefferson High School to single digits on Saturday, Dec. 3, defeating the Lady Vikings 65-8.
The Windsor boys earned their second win of the season when they recorded a 54-38 home win over Sussex Central on Monday.
