Windsor varsity hoops off to winning start

The Windsor High School varsity girls and boys basketball teams opened their respective 2022-23 seasons with victories this week.
The Lady Dukes visited Bruton High School on Monday, Nov. 28, and ended up handing the Lady Panthers a 44-30 defeat.
On Wednesday, Nov. 30, the Windsor varsity boys traveled to face Poquoson High School and dealt with the Islanders decisively, winning 53-29.
Earlier the same night, Windsor’s junior varsity boys basketball team took on the Islanders’ JV squad but came up short, 40-24.
Up next on the varsity level, the Lady Dukes (1-0) host Thomas Jefferson High School on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 6:30 p.m., and then they host Sussex Central High School on Monday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m. The Dukes (1-0) return to action Monday when they host Sussex Central at 7:30 p.m.
