IWA sports: Top-4 finishes for cross country teams

Isle of Wight Academy
Isle of Wight Academy’s girls and boys cross country squads finished third and fourth, respectively, in the Greenbrier Christian Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 22, at Bells Mill Park in Chesapeake.
The girls team finished behind only StoneBridge School and Norfolk Academy, scoring 85 points. The Chargers’ Hannah Edwards was the top individual finisher, with a time of 21:03.5. Teammate Alexandra Wilson finished 11th at 23:03.2.
The boys team finished behind Catholic High School, Norfolk Academy and StoneBridge, scoring 100 points.
Pierce Cutler was the top Charger boys finisher at 18:43.2. Running mate John Butler was 14th at 19:52.5.
