Student art for art’s sake on display

- These are the blue ribbon winners of the Student Art Contest, which is annually sponsored by the Woman's Club of Windsor. The artwork can be seen this year at Citizens National Bank in Windsor through Wednesday, March 10.

WINDSOR
The Woman’s Club of Windsor, a member of the GFWC, continues to do its part for art. The organization sponsored its annual Student Art Contest, and blue ribbon winners from five schools can be seen at Citizens National Bank in Windsor through Wednesday, March 7.
Students from Windsor Elementary, Windsor High, Georgie D. Tyler Middle, Isle of Wight Academy and Carrsville Elementary schools participated.
Mary Lee Willis, club president, said that afterward, the artworks will be taken to the district meeting next Saturday in Suffolk.
The club’s Arts and Crafts committee organizes this event, and the club has been sponsoring it for 15-plus years.
