WINDSOR — James Walker Early Sr., 82, passed away on Dec. 10, 2019, in his home with his family by his side.
He served in the Army, and was a retired oil delivery truck driver for Southern States in Windsor.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 19 years, Lucille M. Early; five daughters, Cynthia Tarkington, Beverly Jackson Pemberton, Joyce Joyner, Melinda Stiles and Patricia Early; two sons, James W. Early Jr. and Jeffery Early; two sisters, Winifred Mansfield and Mae Mae White; one brother, Joe Early; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, in Wright Funeral Home, with burial following in Southampton Memorial Park.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad and Suffolk Heartland Hospice for their loving care, and suggests memorial donations be made to Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad, 19 E. Windsor Blvd., Windsor, VA 23487.
