Players and teams are now being accepted for the Franklin-Southampton Area Chamber of Commerce’s 28th annual golf tournament, which will be at the Cypress Cove Country Club on Monday, May 13.
The entry fee is $75 per player, which includes the tournament fees, lunch, course refreshments and dinner. Registration will begin at noon, at which time range balls and a hot dog lunch will be provided. The shotgun start for tee-off will begin at 1 p.m.
The tournament will be four-person captain’s choice post flighted. The tournament will be limited to 20 teams with first priority given to sponsors and Chamber members in the order they are received.
New for 2019, during the round, each male player that has purchased a Red Bomb will select one hole to tee off from the red tees. Female golfers purchasing a Red Bomb may tee off 30 yards in front of the red tee. A Red Bomb may not be used to win any prize on the long drive and closest to the pin holes, but can be used on these holes as a regular shot. A mulligan may not be used to repeat a Red Bomb. The day of the tournament, mulligans and Red Bombs will be $5 each and limited to one each per player. The prepaid package costs $30. Adding a mulligan/Red Bomb package when pre-registering saves $10.
Sponsorship opportunities ranging from $125 to $1,500 are also available. All sponsors will be highlighted at the event, in the Chamber newsletter and on the Chamber’s social media and website.
