Windsor Town Center grand opening: The Town of Windsor will celebrate the grand opening of its Windsor Town Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. The first event to be held in the center, the Woman’s Club Craft Fair, will follow from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will feature chicken salad and pimento cheese for sale for lunch. The Town Center is located at 23361 Courthouse Highway, Windsor.

Christmas Craft Fair: The Woman’s Club of Windsor will host this annual event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the new Windsor Town Center, 23361 Courthouse Highway. A bake sale, raffle, homemade chicken salad and pimento cheese will be offered. Numerous vendors such as LuLa Roe, Pampered Chef, Scentsy and Tupperware will be present. This will the first event in the facility, which will also be dedicated that day.

Open House Weekend: Visit local merchants in downtown Smithfield all dressed up and decorated for the holidays. Enjoy specials, refreshments and more. For more information, call 357-5182.

Corn Harvest Dance Powwow: The 24th Cheroenhaka (Nottoway) Indian Tribe’s event, hosted by the Cheroenhaka (Nottoway) Indian Tribe, will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Cattashowrock Town, 27345 Aquia Path, Courtland. There will be Native American drumming and dancing, native arts and craft vendors, food, ASV Artifacts ID Day and the Aztec Dancers, demonstration in flint-knapping, Native American beading and more. Tribal history by Chief Walt “Red Hawk” Brown. Grand entry will be at noon. Entry donation is $6 for adults; $4 seniors and children over 6 years old. Children under 6 is free. Youth art class: Resident artist Diane Z. Greenhalgh will teach fundamental drawing principles, painting and color theory for young artists ages 6 to 12 years from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at The Arts Center @ 319 (319 Main St.) in downtown Smithfield. The fee is $60 for Isle of Wight Arts League members, $70 for non-members. Each month, classes will be offered to advance students’ skill and knowledge. Registration is required five days prior to the first session. Additional sessions will be held on Wednesdays, Nov. 14 and 28. Bethlehem Ruritan Jam: The concert will be in the Bethlehem Ruritan Club House, 140 Manning Road, Suffolk, featuring The Ocean Breeze Band. There is no admission charge.
