Community Harvest Outreach

Autumn Leaves Senior Citizens program: Bring your loved ones, ages 65 and up, for crafts and lunch. Everything is open and free to all seniors. The next session will be on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. located at 5C Roberts Ave., in Windsor. For more information, call 556-5403.

Truck or Treat extravaganza: This will take place at the corner of North Court Street and Courthouse Highway in Windsor from 7 to 9 p.m. on Halloween. Please come out and join the fun. There will be a prize wheel, free food, roasting marshmallows and candy galore.

Pastoral Anniversary: The 16th anniversary will be on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 3 p.m. We will have the dynamic tag-team preaching of Apostle Kelso and Jackie Clark from Lynchburg. Refreshments will be served.

Think pink: In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, come to church and wear pink on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m. We would love to see you as we end or Pastoral Celebratory Month.

When Midwives Gather: Come out and join us at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2 for a night of transparency and revelation. There will be giveaways and refreshments. You must RSVP at 242-4151.

 

Millfield Baptist Church

Fall Festival of Music: The church will present a Fall Festival of Music on Sunday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. The program will feature guest singers and musicians from the community including George Atkins, Sandy Holdsworth, the Millfield Choir and soloists, the Rocky Hock Quartet, Rusty Lowe, Molly Dowless and more. During the program, a love offering will be taken with all proceeds going directly to Virginia Baptist Disaster Response which provides relief and recovery help for victims of Hurricane Florence. Trunk-or-Treat: This will be today, Oct. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church on Route 10 in the Chuckatuck section of Suffolk. Trunks will be decorated with Halloween themes from which people will pass out candy. A disc jockey, games and prizes will also be featured.

Anniversary: The congregation will celebrate the church’s 132nd anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. The church is located at 9000 Fire Tower Road, Windsor.
