According to the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office, an arrest has been made in connection with the November 2023 homicide case of Marvin Guillaume-Sam. In a media release,  the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office says Travis Lewis Wilson, 23, of Brooklyn, New York, was apprehended in Newport News by the United States Marshals Service.

The shooting at the 12000 Block of Smiths Neck Rd. in the Carrolton area of Isle of Wight County on Nov. 2, 2023.

Subsequently, he was transferred to Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office investigators. Wilson faces several charges, including second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and malicious shooting.

Wilson underwent arraignment this morning in Isle of Wight and is presently detained without bond at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail
