Nine members of the Woman’s Club of Windsor participated in the Windsor Police Department’s National Night Out event at the Windsor Town Center earlier in August.
A club news release noted that club members gave books to the children present at the event, as well as pictures to color, along with a box of crayons.
“One member gave them a ziplock bag of grapes that she fixed so it looks like a butterfly, another member had hula hoops for a little exercise,” club officials stated. “All activities were a part of our club emphasis on early childhood education.”
The club’s membership chairman was also in attendance, encouraging the mothers present to join the club.
Interested women can contact Debra Tominack at 757-641-8362 for more information.
In other club activities, the Arts and Culture Committee is making plans for creating a quilt that will be raffled off later, with the drawing taking place at the Club Christmas Craft Show in November.
