Girl Scouts honor founder with gifts for newborn girl

Girl Scout Troop 726, located out of Isle of Wight County, donated a gift basket to the first girl born at Sentara Obici Hospital on Tuesday, Oct. 31. This donation was in honor of Girl Scouts founder Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday. She was born on Oct. 31, 1860, and she founded Girl Scouts of the USA in 1912. Troop 726 includes girls from Windsor and Smithfield.
