Activities for children of all ages can once again be found this fall at the Windsor branch of the Blackwater Regional Library, located 18 Duke St. in Windsor.
BRL Windsor Branch Senior Library Assistant Melody L. Ranck announced with excitement on Monday, Sept. 11, that the library’s fall programming was back in full swing.
“We kicked off the return of our PAWS to Read program last Saturday,” she said.
PAWS to Read is described by library officials as an opportunity for young readers to practice their reading and storytelling skills with the audience of a therapy dog, and children also have a chance to enjoy crafts at the event.
“All of our young patrons had a wonderful time reading to the therapy dogs as well as creating their own dog-themed craft,” Ranck said. “We are looking forward to the return of our other youth programs, including PAWS to Read on the second Saturday of every month from 10:30 a.m.-noon; weekly storytimes on Fridays at 10 a.m.; and our Teen Book Club on the second Thursday of every month at 3:15 p.m.”
