Local students enroll at James Madison University

James Madison University is featuring a new group of students from Windsor, according to recent fall enrollment announcements.
An Aug. 23 JMU news release noted that the university was excited to welcome the class of 2027 to campus this month. The incoming freshman class represents an accomplished, diverse group of individuals who hail from 35 states, the District of Columbia and 12 countries around the world.
The class includes the following area students:
- Alexandria Callis, of Windsor, who plans to major in biology;
- Hailey Couch, of Windsor, who plans to major in health sciences;
- Caleb Deily, of Windsor, who plans to major in finance;
- Margaret Meynardie, of Windsor, who plans to major in theatre;
- Emma Mitchell, of Windsor, who plans to major in international affairs;
- Adrianna Myers, of Windsor, who plans to major in dance;
- Kiley Plum, of Windsor, who plans to major in exploratory; and
- Parker Scott, of Windsor, who plans to major in sport & recreation management.
JMU is also welcoming new transfer students to campus. The incoming transfers represent an accomplished, diverse group of individuals who hail from 17 states, the District of Columbia and two countries.
In the group is Windsor resident Madison Pulley, who has selected biology as a major.
Founded in 1908, James Madison University is a public university located in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.
“JMU is one of the nation’s leading lights in higher education, where students enjoy engaging relationships with world-class faculty who drive education innovation and support advanced research,” school officials stated. “With state-of-the art amenities and facilities, students have access to NCAA Division 1 athletics. JMU also has the highest post-graduation job levels of all Virginia colleges.”
