Toilet trouble at Windsor Elementary has prompted the school to close early today.

Isle of Wight County Schools spokeswoman Lynn Briggs announced shortly after 10:30 a.m. that the school’s bathrooms were not functioning property due to a septic issue.

School buses would depart Windsor Elementary around 11 a.m. to take children home. Parents can pick up their children anytime prior to dismissal.

The school division is working on repairs and will update families when officials know more, Briggs said.
