Windsor Town Manager William Saunders announced to the Town Council on Tuesday, Oct. 11, that the advertisement for bids on the Duke Street and Virginia Avenue water main replacement project will go out the following week.

“We have met a couple times with the engineers at Bowman (Consulting) since the last meeting to make some minor revisions on the plans and the bid documents,” he said. “But we’re set right now to advertise for the project on Oct. 17 with bids due back in on Nov. 17. So we’re hoping to have some information about that project very soon.”

After being asked by Windsor Mayor Glyn T. Willis, Saunders confirmed that the goal is to have the engineer’s estimate on the project by the time the town gets the bids back.
