Dukes prevail June 14 in regional softball, baseball and girls soccer openers

Windsor High School’s varsity girls soccer, baseball and softball teams were victorious in the openers of their respective Region 2A tournaments June 14.
The No. 1-seeded Lady Dukes girls soccer team defeated No. 8 Arcadia High School 8-0 and advanced to the semifinals where they will host No. 5 King William High School on June 15 at 5 p.m.
The No. 5 Windsor baseball squad defeated No. 4 Prince Edward County High School 9-3, advancing to the semifinals where they will visit No. 1 Poquoson High School on June 15 at 5 p.m.
In the biggest upset of the day for Windsor, the No. 6 Lady Dukes softball team defeated No. 3 Nottoway High School 9-3. Windsor will host No. 7 Amelia County High School on June 15 at 5 p.m. in the semifinals.
If any Windsor teams win June 15, they will play again Thursday, June 17. Championship times and sites will be determined after the June 15 games have been played.
