Sentara Healthcare has launched a COVID-19 vaccine self-scheduling website as long as appointments are available.

The company said in a news release that anyone 16 and up can go to the website, www.sentara.com/vaccineclinic and schedule a first-dose vaccine appointment at an upcoming Sentara clinic.

Those ages 16 or 17 can only receive the Pfizer vaccine — its website will identify which vaccine will be used at each clinic — and they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A signed vaccine consent form will be required at check-in.

The website will host Sentara’s confirmed vaccine clinics for the upcoming week, and their schedules will be updated each week based on the number of vaccine doses provided by local health districts. Once each clinic is full, registration will be closed and the link to schedule will no longer be activated.

People can only schedule appointments for Sentara-hosted vaccine clinics and are first-come, first-serve. While walk-ins will be accepted if there is extra vaccine supply, scheduling an appointment guarantees a vaccine.

The clinics are hosted in partnership with local health departments, city leaders and faith-based and non-profit organizations.

Those without internet access or an email address can call the Sentara Vaccine Scheduling Call Center at 1-833-887-6943 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
