Margaret P. Mason

IVOR — Margaret “Janie” Persinger Mason, 65, of Ivor, Virginia, passed away at her home on Sept. 22, 2020, following a long illness.

Janie was born in Southampton, England, and was the daughter of the late Russell and Nancy Persinger.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Edward “Eddie” Allen Mason Jr.; her daughter, Crystal Lynn Mason of Courtland, Virginia; a son, Edward “Shane” Allen Mason III; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Freddy Persinger and Randy Persinger.

A graveside service will be held in the Ivor cemetery at 2 p.m. on Oct. 4. The family would like to also request casual attire at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations to the Ivor Rescue Squad in Janie’s memory.
