NEW YORK
On Tuesday morning, the New York Jets reported on their website that they signed fifth-year tight end Daniel Brown, an alumnus of Isle of Wight Academy and native of Windsor. Brown, an unrestricted free agent, played in the Chicago Bears’ game against Philadelphia this past January.
Randy Lane, a NYJETS.com contributor, further stated that Brown (6-foot-5-inch, 225-pounds) was signed as an undrafted free agent out of James Madison University by Baltimore after the 2015 draft. He played in eight games as a Raven in 2015-2016 and had six receptions.
Also according to Lane, Brown has so far played in 42 regular season games with six starts and caught 35 passes for 317 yards and one touchdown.
